Sandesh Ladoos
This recipe came about totally by surprise. When you are using fresh milk from the cow, sometimes the milk has a mind of its own and wants to do something out of the ordinary. That is what happened with this recipe. Here is how I made them:
- 3 cups fresh whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cardanom
- 1 tbsp ghee
I added 3 cups of fresh milk and 1/2 cup of sugar to a non stick pan. I cooked the milk down and after about 10 minutes in, the milk started curdling slightly. So I added a little cardamom and kept stirring and cooking until there was no water and only caramel colored curdles. Then I added a little ghee and turned off the flame. I then blended the curdles together using a hand blender until it was a nice smooth fudge and then rolled them into balls like you see here. They were amazingly relish. “Tastes like India”, I like to say.
Now you are ready to offer to Kṛṣṇa with love and devotion!
