Baby ducklings just born on the farm!

Some may be wondering why we have these ducks, and no, we do not eat them, nor do we eat the eggs. We live in the tropics and there are lots of insects here that are either poisonous or carry disease. These ducks love to eat bugs and are especially great at keeping the tick and mosquito population low. The Muscovy duck's original name was "Musco Duck", because it is known as the "Mosquito Duck”. These two pests can really make the cows uncomfortable so having lot’s of these ducks around the farm assures that the cows will be more protected from many types of pests. Also they are very beautiful animals and really enhance the scenery!
