My husband suggested using banana leaf as a non-stick cake liner and the results were absolutely amazing!

Just cut the banana leaf to the shape of the dish, pour in the cake batter and bake as usual. When done, let the cake cool a little and then turn the cake upside down on a plate or over your hand. The cake will easily fall out. Then peel the leaves off and that is it! We highly recommend using banana leaf for all your baking! It even gives a special flavor to the cake that is similar to chocolate!
First you will need to cut the leaves to the shape of the baking dish. Just place your baking dish on top of the leaf and use a sharp knife to cut along the edge of the bottom of the dish like this.
Then cut smaller pieces to fill in the edges like this.
Now you are ready to pour in your cake batter and bake as required by recipe.
Here is what it looks like when you take it out of the oven.
Now let the cake cool for about 20 minutes. Then flip the cake upside down and it will easily fall right out. You can then begin peeling off the leaves.
That's it! Your cake is ready!
