    Snake Gourd Pasta Sauce - Tomato free!

    Did you know that a fully ripened snake gourd vegetable transforms into a wonderful tomato replacement? The pulp surrounding the seeds are a bright red color and have a sweet flavor. The orange creamy pulp that is on the skin has a very nice mild pumpkin flavor and has the texture of very creamy mashed potatoes. These two pulps blended together create a smooth sauce and when adding yogurt whey (the sour flavor) it creates a perfect tomato sauce! So delicious!

    Here is the wonderful dish I put together together today. Mostly all ingredients came from the garden!

Sacred Mother Cow

All the recipes you find here are designed to celebrate our Mother Cow. Every recipe is using one or many different milk products. Our goal is to demonstrate all the possibilities there are in cooking and preparing wholesome meals by using the many milk products available.

According to the Vedic Scriptures, the Cow is considered to be the most sacred animal on earth. She is a symbol of fulfillment of all our material needs and is the source of milk and ghee which our bodies require for longevity and higher states of consciousness. There is so much more benefits a cow can give while alive and healthy then just for her body. It is said that during a whole life of a cow she can feed over 480,000 people and can only feed 80 people with just her body. With her humble nature, she is always pleasing to the heart and only benefits the human race. Without the cow we can never achieve happiness. Humanity must wake up and realize the value of the sacred cow and how sinful it is to hurt her!

Most of the milk products sold in the markets today are filled with horrible additives and lack the true nectar of its pure version. Most people in the world can't even buy pure milk products if they wanted to. That is why it is so important to create groups in your community to purchase and maintain cows for the benefit of yourselves and your communities. We personally left the city life and sought after a location in rural Mexico where there is an endless stream of fresh organic raw cows milk available. We also have 3 beautiful Gir cows and are awaiting their first baby calves.

I humbly request all to consider finding locations yourselves where you can too receive the value of pure milk. Please consider buying a cow of your own or donate your money to cow protection.

The importance of protecting cows is therefore stressed by Krishna in Bhagavad-gita 18.44. Even now in the Indian villages surrounding Vrindavana, the villagers live happily simply by giving protection to the cow. They keep cow dung very carefully and dry it to use as fuel. They keep a sufficient stock of grains, and because of giving protection to the cows, they have sufficient milk and milk products to solve all economic problems. Simply by giving protection to the cow, the villagers live so peacefully. Even the urine and stool of cows have medicinal value. [Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 10.6.19]
